Cool!
There is also a review on youtube by sneekylinux : www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4qi-ZcSV5Y

Of course, I would have preferred if everything was double-checked, but yep, I'm like that. :)

By the way, as the author of ctkarch, I noticed some mistakes:

So sorry X doesn't work out of the box on your PC! But there are, in fact, a lot of 'failsafe' options in the Misc. options menu at bootup.
CTKArch is older than archbang, see http://archbang.org/news/bravo-calimero
When something is in common in the two, it comes from ctkarch ;)

In order to edit the entries in the bootloader, you used <tab> and <enter>, not Ctrl+E and Ctrl+X.

The openbox Applications menu is dynamic! It does update automatically when installing new software! For this, I use openbox-menu.

When you select tint2 as the panel from the openbox menu, fbpanel is killed, and vice versa. There should be no problem with this.

Scrot *is* installed. (but yep, no menu entry, you can run it with Alt+F2.)

The shutdown entry doesn't use sudo shutdown, but the Consolekit call. See ~/.config/fbpanel/default

Some remarks!

The lack of window decor on the terminal is a choice, and of course you can move it with Alt+Left-click-drag, resize it with Alt+Right-click-drag and close it with Ctrl+D.

Yes, I don't like proprietary software. :)
Add-ons allow you to add flash and so on to your ISO image before burning/dd-ing it!

Apparently, the freetechie.com reviewer is merely an openbox hobbyist and ubuntu user.

We missed this one! :)
baldwinsoftware.com/blog/?p=1417

(Oops, he didn't notice that English was available at bootup, and that I'm doing this livecd alone too. :P )

That's nice.

The earlier youtube-based review is awesome!

oups! désolé...
comme je l'avais déjà visité, le lien était en gris (donc pas très visible).

pour me faire pardonner, regarde comment CtkArch est (bien) perçue chez Crunchbang (Debian):

Another one:

Though I don't really approve of installing sudo and configuring it with ALL=(ALL) ALL.

It seems hard to undertand ctk is not a distro…  :)

Just a detail: the openbox menu is dynamic in ctkarch! I think I was the first to have included mimas' app for that, openbox-menu.

"L’ennui avec thunar, ce sont ses dépendances XFCE"

pas seulement; il y a aussi le fait que Thunar ne sait pas afficher les icones sur le bureau...
