Hello again.

I have got a WD TV Live Hub that I am trying to add as a network drive. But I dont know how to do this in arch. I am very sorry for my noob question, but when I searh for the ip nothing is found. I have however found a way to play the files on the hub via XBMC, but I want it to be mounted as a network drive so that I can add new files to it.
Quite new to arch, so please bare over with me...

UPNP I think. That is at least how I found it with XMBC

It's not a network protocol. It's a service discovery protocol.
See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upnp

Your disk might by accessed (mounted) using ftp, samba, nfs or so.
You can run an nmap scan on its IP address to find out.

What is XMBC? I could only find XBMC on the net. (Xbox related stuff)
If that's this, it could be samba, install gvfs-smb with pacman (you may need to restart the X session, ctrl alt backspace) and open pcmanfm, "Go" > "Network Drives"

XBMC was what i meant. Which actually is a quite decent program if you want to use an arch system on HTPC.

I have tried to install gvfs-smb and do as you wrote but it then just says that nothing i mounted. hmm.

Your help is really appreciated and it gived a arch n00b like me the courage to discover deeper in the arch jungle. Hope I dont ask too many stupid questions.

Try to find what protocol it's using, in order to know how to connect to it.

Note: with samba, you often have to retry several times.
